projectMICA.org is a non-profit organization created in memory of Adam Perez (1983-2017) who died of a heroin overdose at the age of 33. Adam’s life was a struggle of mental illness and chemical addiction. From the deep sorrow that followed his death this project was born.
Adam’s life was not in vain. The purpose he talked about with his family during the last months of his life, his desire to provide help to those who were in the same situation as he was as an adolescent, is being realized.
